  2. Cheers for the comment mate, Been considering a Fisher F70/75 and coupling it with a 15" DD coil, any thoughts on those machines? I just feel that the F2 is missing deeper/smaller targets, Cheers

  3. I think you would be surprised what the f2 is capable of finding.. it has the power just not the controllability.. what you get with the f75 is perhaps a teeny bit more potential depth, but far more control on what and how you choose to hear... all metal is the way to go, takes a bit of learning but in the end you can really hear every little change in the ground.. whereas the f2 finds a signal then tells you about it in its own way.. so to speak. 15"dd coil?, really depends where you use it and how good you are with it and what discrimination control you machine has.. I would love one for the beaches.. elseware in NZ there is usually just so much metal in the ground it would be harder to use than a smaller coil.....

  4. Very good input, cheers for that! Will soldier on with the F2, I think im just expecting too much from the area, much smaller than Auckland so much less coins in the ground, but seem to be finding some good stuff still, HH

  5. yes your doing well. Auckland is big with history, but the good areas have really been done to death.. I was reading on an Aussie forum about clubs that come over here for a holiday.. do some research and hit some of our good spots... sometimes small towns have not been touched.. my first Victorian penny was found where my dad lives down at Waihi at the local park.. pennys everywhere too.
