More Silver from yesterdays spot

Still producing silver! Really would like to see some gold at some stage...Anyone know how to convert 1c and 2c into gold sovereigns?  :)

English Sixpence day

Only found one English sixpence prior to today. Today I got 3, 1899, 1906.1912 :)
Also my second half crown! Which amazed the kids following me then they wouldn't leave.... so I did.
Oh well will be back there tomorrow morning when they wont be there.

Does anyone know what these are? I have found two others the same, seem to be lead? And have letters in them I can't make sense of.

Lake Hunt

Had my 1st go at detecting in the water, Going to need to get a sand scoop on a pole, was getting the kind GF to dig with a hand scoop, was fun though.
Few finds, some where from the beach part
Many many many bottle caps and pull tabs here....still no gold.... where is it hiding

Only issue I had with the AT pro is that when I went to collapse the shaft later to fit it in the boot you could not move it, sand had got into the shaft and seized it up, Had to spend a bit of time at home to get it free, put a little grease on the shaft, dunno if that will help, might just make the sand stick to it more....

Very worn Queen Vics

Still haven't been able to do much hunting,, still recovering from Thursday lol.
Very happy to see some silver in a couple of the holes! These two were very close, probably the same pocket spill, Sixpence is very worn, one side is flat.

 

Less time hunting today

Still a bit sore from yesterday.
Got a bit in though.

Couple of random things, I think that button is a NZ armed forces one, And I cant make out what the ship pendant thing says, Any non destructive ideas to clean it?

First full day hunting with AT Pro

Still learning I think lol, missed the jewellery if it was there....
Very tired and sore now! Garked a couple of the silvers :( Needa be more carefull.
15 Silvers in a day is a record for me.

Hello AT Pro!

 It arrived! Assembled while at work, headed out for a 45min hunt and 1st dug signal was a $1 coin!

Very happy with the Pro mode audio, dug more coins than items of rubbish in that short hunt.
Noticed the machine is unaffected by electrical fields from power cables etc which the F2 simply could not operate anywhere near. Still got a lot of learning to do! What a lot of interesting noises to learn

Today's hunt bringing my total Silver tally to 40. Modern spendable tally of $550 and a big pile of trash :)
Have ordered a new Garrett AT Pro and its still on its way here, can't wait to get my greasy mits on it!

Beach Hunt

Probably the most coins I have ever found in one session on the beach. all quite shallow.
Timezone token and a key. Was hoping for something nice and shiny but no luck..
AT Pro should arrive within a few days and I have a hunt planed next weekend for it :D

Bullet day

Managed to get a good few bullets! Stopped digging them after a while trying to find older coins, didn't....
Just a few older decs at the site.
Also found an old chainsaw file holder and file, broken so must have been dropped and left.

Sunday Arvo Hunt

Spent couple hours at a favourite spot and was rewarded with 6 more silvers for the collection :D

Good times weekend

Did a bit yesterday and scored my 2nd Victorian Silver, Even older this time! 1872 Threepence.

Can't complain with todays efforts though! 1st Half crown! And 1st Milk token! haha

Saturday hunt - Victorian Silver :)

Had a fun time Saturday in a couple of spots, Spent 4-5 hours and ended up with this lot.
The most Silvers in a day - 10! Including a Victorian Shilling and my 1st Florin.
Oh and someone lost there key ring sometime ago...

Had a pretty good weekend.
Mainly Detected today ( Sunday ).

Perhaps 3 hours detecting, pretty much ignoring anything that didnt sound like a gold coin.

$82.20 worth :)

Had a good hunt, two half crowns ( non silver ), 1908 penny, two silver Shillings, NZ 1945 threepence and a 1922 Aussie Threepence :) All in a small area
